#creativeglazechallenge // Mini Chocolate Chip Cookies

Are you guys ready for our first #CreativeGlazeChallenge. Don’t forget to follow both myself @jessicaglaze and @creativewifeandjoyfulworker on Instagram. After you bake these cookies, post a picture of them on Instagram using the hashtag #creativeglazechallenge for a chance to be featured on our Instagram accounts and for a chance to host the next challenge with us.

Last weekend my husband got the kids together and captured some photos of them making Jessica Glaze’s Mini Chocolate Chip Cookie recipe. We needed to bring a dessert to our Father’s Day get together, what better dessert then cookies and icecream… am i right?!

I love that he was willing to take some photos for me to share. I also love how much he captured their little//big personalities in each shot. There is a whole lot of chocolate chip cookie tasting and love happening in these photos.

Take a look at how our #creativeglazechallenge went this month and then check out Jessica’s post as well, over on the Glaze Brigade Blog. Join us in this challenge and be sure to share your photos with us, we would love to see them and even share them too!

Photography: Taste Testing from the Apple Tree

It is such a joy to our family, especially our children, that we have an Apple Tree on our property.  This tree is at the back of our property, it’s a dwarf tree, but produces more than enough apples to make a few delicious recipes.  For the past week our kids have wanted to go out and taste test to see if the apples are ready.  Today my son decided they need a few more days to grow a bit bigger.  We are looking for an awesome recipe, any suggestions?  Please comment below of an idea or with a recipe would be even better. Enjoy these few pictures from our taste test.

Baking with Kids: Extra Chocolate Nutella Bites

“These are so so good and I made them all myself!!” exclaimed my five year old son.
Baking with my son is something that I love doing but I find I’m often doing most of the baking.  With my hands on the camera, capturing each step, he was able to do everything.  He mixed the ingredients, cracking the egg, watched the timer, applyed the icing, and gobbled them up.  He had more fun with this then I expected, it couldn’t have turned out better!
I was looking for a easy recipe that would be perfect for baking with him, when I came across this 4 Ingredient Nutella Brownie recipe (by Savory Sweet Life) I knew I had found the perfect one.  I switched up the recipe a bit by omitting the nuts and adding extra chocolate, whipped icing, and sprinkles.
