Van City Business Babes #mompreneurpanel Event

A few weeks ago I got to sit down with the super talented and driven lady behind Van City Business Babes. Danielle is such a pleasure to talk to. When Danielle mentioned that she was planning a Mompreneur Panel night I was so drawn into her vision and wanted to take part to help her make the event a success.

Yesterday I was able to attend Danielle’s successful event, and today I am so thrilled to share some photos I captured. Thank you to all the vendors, sponsors, and of course Danielle for planning such a stunning event at Sky Helicopters. It was such a pleasure to enjoy a relaxing afternoon chatting with so many like-minded, creative and talented woman.

Small Business: Nettle’s Tale

I discovered Nettle’s Tale when their Indiegogo campaign video flooded my FaceBook page back in April 2014. When I pressed play I was more than impressed, I fell in love for the Nettle’s Tale story.  After starting my blog and featuring small businesses local to me, I had a few friends encourage me to reach out to Nettle’s Tale to share their story.  Soon after that I reached out to Julia, founder and swimsuit designer for Nettle’s Tale, and was thrilled that she was interested in having me feature her small business.  Nettle’s Tale is an outstanding small business that does more that just cater to their customers needs, they help their customers to be confident and love their bodies inside and out. Outdoor Picnic with TeepeeTot + Coupon Code

Tee pee Tot Picnic with Coral and Cloud and Fancy Frogz

When I browse online for decorative inspiration, I notice I am attracted to a common theme within children’s spaces. In this space there is usually an area of shelter or personal space that the child can call their own. Unfortunately, these spaces are often not practical or affordable to do in my own home. When I came across TeepeeTot I knew that Jiao’s creations would be a perfect fit for any area in our home and something my children would enjoy. Continue reading

DIY: Easter Egg decorating with Metallic Tattoos by Boho Marks

My son saw some of my metallic tattoos around the house the other day and was asking to use them. This morning I had an idea to use the tattoos while decorating our Easter eggs. When I brought this idea to him, he was beyond excited. He even proclaimed, “Daddy will be so impressed with us when he sees that we tattooed our eggs!”

I think I was just as excited as he was. We cleaned the table off, got a cloth, scissors, Boho Marks {metallic tattoos}, and of course the hard boiled eggs. This was such a great craft for him as he got to carefully cut around the tattoos he wanted to place, focused on being gentle with the eggs, and he loved seeing how they turned out. This craft was great for me as the mess was minimal and we were both having a great time together.
